My father came to stay at the weekend and what better way to entertain him than mixing his two favorite things in life, beer and jazz by attending the Hampton Court Beer & Jazz Festival. Most of the main acts started around 3:00 but the support act, Jonno, was fantastic he played lots of Nick Drake and John Martyn. Although I have not been able to find anything on the net about him we were told that every week Jonno plays at Brave New World in Surbiton, bit of a trek but might have to go.
There was also lots of stands selling food, from traditional English fish and chips to Mexican, we felt beer and nachos were a good call. It was all going great until in typical British style the heavens opened and there was a massive down pour, but that didn't dampen our spirits as we took refuge in the beer tent! For future reference in case anyone feel the need to try it, chili beer isn't good.
