SUBCONSCIOUS INSPIRATIONS

When I saw these photographs from Alejandro Durán's Washed Up photo series my first thought was of how much they reminded me of the work Andy Goldsworthy was doing 10 years ago (bottom image), albeit using a more natural material.

It is so hard, as an artist today to not accidentally create something hasn't already been done. I know I find it hard in my design work, to create a truly original idea when all the time we are subconsciously soaking up inspirations from all around us.
