We decided to make green tomato chutney as Jack's grandparents had kindly given us a jam pan the week before. The recipe we used was from one of my favorite gardening blogs, My Tiny Plot.
It started off well...
It was boiling away for a couple of hours (stinking out the flat in the process) then it started to thicken, then suddenly it was treacle! We couldn't believe it our first crop was totally ruined, but we know for next time. There isn't a picture of the end result, it looked too disgusting!
